Check out some of my work on a recent post at Borrowed and Bleu.
I thought I would try out Thumbtack, but you end up paying them for referrals that often never even get back to you. I guess this is fine for them, but seems like a waste of time and just a way for them to create a model to make money off those trying to market themselves to potential clients. I think their approach is suspect and your chance at success with them slim to none. I have left their site and I would encourage others not to use them.
Please check back shortly, I will be working on getting some fresh content on here. Sorry to anyone who has checked in over the course of my stale posting time. I do however have a lot of current images on a community blog you can visit at myportlandphotographer.com
The national average spent on wedding photography is $2500. So if you want average it should be at least that price and if you want exceptional plan to spend more. The old adage you get what you pay for is the same here. I just met with a bride and her sister and her sister said when she got married she got everything and the kitchen sink from her photographer at a steal and hated the images. She said now she doesn’t care that it was such a great deal as she crys with tears of sorrow every time she looks at her wedding images. Everything will pass from your wedding day and the only thing besides your memories to keep the day alive is the photography. The memories can take your breath away with joy or horror-decide wisely.
